About
Inspired by colour,
cloth & leather

I began my career as a freelance costumier, working in film, theatre and dance before moving into the design and making of costumes for Indian classical dance—years shaped by movement, colour, form and detailed construction.
Since 2010 I have focused on designing and making leather pieces by hand, working from my own patterns and using traditional techniques throughout. I carefully select each leather and pair it with colourful suede linings chosen to complement or contrast with the outer surface. Every piece is made with close attention to colour, proportion, detail and finish.
Weaving is a more recent thread in my practice — a different way of exploring colour, where relationships emerge gradually through the rhythm of the loom. It is that sensitivity — how colours support, transform or diminish one another — that I find most compelling.
“My work is grounded in a respect for craft and material — functional, enduring pieces with a quiet sense of individuality.”
